On Tuesday, September 17, 2019, Manitou Springs City Council approved the Environmental Resolution, followed by the first action item: the Tree Planting Resolution and Program.

Manitou Springs is offering a $100.00 voucher to go towards the purchase of a residential tree for Manitou Springs community members. There is a limited supply of vouchers available, so please sign up soon!

The City of Manitou Springs obtained their Tree City USA status in 2019 and now has a residential challenge to plant more trees.

Per Resolution 1919 and the recent passing of the Tree Ordinance, this resolution is part of several sustainable goals that will be continued and hopefully expanded soon. You can read more about the Resolution here.

Now, Manitou Springs residents can increase their tree canopy, providing all the benefits trees can give to the community.

The Tree Planting Voucher is available through the City Parks and Recreation website. Only one voucher per household.
